We love our pizzas, curries and Chinese dishes but sometimes you just want a classic British meal and that’s what is on offer at the Bates Restaurant.  Located in Charminster, the restaurant has been family run for the last 14 years and offers both lunch and dinner menus.  There’s a huge focus on high-quality food, an excellent wine list and also homemade desserts that are impossible to ignore.

The restaurant has a standard a la carte menu as well as a range of specials for lunch and dinner.  So there’s always something new to try and there are always fish and vegetarian options available.  If you have allergies or other eating requirements, just let us know and we can find the perfect meal option for you.

Comfortable family run restaurant

People come from around the area to visit our comfortable, family run restaurant.  Seating up to 45 people, the restaurant is ideal to share a family celebration, take the kids for a meal or dine with just the two of you.  With regular special dishes, always affordable prices and a good range of drinks, you can relax and enjoy your dining experience.

Bates Restaurant is open six days a week (closed Mondays) and five evenings.  Sunday’s menu has the classic Sunday roast lunch as well as fish and vegetarian options and we also run a special menu on a Saturday evening.
